The northern New Mexico landscape is replete with many churches and chapels which have served for centuries as a cornerstone of faith for the indigenous and colonial peoples. Each region and place of worship has its own colorful history, often the stuff of legend. Three Chapels (for organ manuals) takes its inspiration from the lore and history surrounding some of these holy sites. "Chimayó" is a place of pilgrimage and healing for the sick; "Acoma" a place of tension and fusion between two distinct cultural theologies; and "Rosario" a place of great ceremony for one week of the year
