November, 2009 Dan Locklair was featured as the Principal Guest Composer at Indiana State University’s 42nd Contemporary Music Festival that was held November 12, 13 and 14, 2008. Over the three-day festival, Dr. Locklair participated in panel discussions, master classes and pre-concert lectures. In addition there were performances of his orchestral, chamber, choral, solo piano and vocal music by ISU students and faculty, guest artist Fulcrum Point New Music Project, and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Kirk Trevor. November, 2008 —The Contemporary Music Festival Committee is proud to announce the 42nd Annual Festival with Dr. Dan Locklair as its Principal Guest Composer; Fulcrum Point New Music Project as its Guest Ensemble; and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra with conductor Kirk Trevor as its Orchestra in Residence. The Festival will take place from November 12-14, 2008, on the campus of Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN.

November, 2007 — On Saturday, November 4th the Renaissance choral ensemble, Robert Pritchard, Music Director, performed In the Cross of Christ I Glory, along with Mr. Locklair's Ubi Caritas, as part of their subscription series concert in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Also on Saturday, November 4th, The Worcester Chorus, Andrew Clark, Music Director, with Frank Corbin, Organ and Richard Watson, Trumpet, performed St. Peter's Rock and Ubi caritas at United Congregational Church in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Then on Sunday, November 5th, Remembrance was premiered by the St. Paul's Choir, Barbara Beattie, Music Director in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.



August, 2007 — Naxos Classical has just released a new recording of orchestral works by Dan Locklair, including Symphony of Seasons, Harp Concerto, and Lairs of Soundings. Read more...
